Sony Vaio AW11Z/B ... disks, dedicated CF card slot (sd and memory stick are also covered) as well as blu ray reader/writer. All these elements work very well in this laptop. I was also keen to have the dual-lamp screen available in this model as I felt that this would be great for the graphics work I want to do. Unfortunately, the screen shows serious and distracting backlight bleed at the base of the screen. Sony say it s within parameters, but I say different. Other disappointing aspects of this laptop are poor battery life (although not much worse than the advertised 100minutes to be fair), and sometimes mediocre performance despite an apparently good processor and graphics card. ... So when I had finally saved up some pennies, I decided the time had come to buy a brand new laptop, which would hopefully work! I had decided that I wanted a Sony laptop, as while my old one wasn t working I had often used my boyfriend s Sony Vaio, and had always been very impressed with it, and how fast and easy it was to use. Sony Vaio N38E/W ... complaint after 2 years of use and this is that it could do with more RAM, however, it is upgradeable too 2GB. I have recently brought a 1gb of RAM for my laptop, which has upgraded it too 1.5ghz. The difference is noticeable and am now awaiting the delivery of another 1GB of RAM. Installation is easy, simply unscrewing the back compartment and sliding out the already existing RAM, and replacing it with the newly brought RAM. In conclusion another great product from Sony, looks stylish(mines white) and runs amazingly well even after 2yrs!
