Advantages: Value for money
Disadvantages: HPA Screen
Excelent Service and quick too. Added 14 sept So anyway I had a slight problem with my modem, now being a bit of a computer buff I wanted to see if the problem could be resolved without calling TIME(after all the bad press I had heard of their backup). To cut a long story short, it wasn't a software problem - so I very aprehensively contacted TIme who arranged the pickup and return of my laptop - three days and a new modem - I have no complaints. Added 9 Sept If you deal with time and make a change to your order, make sure that they don't send you two computers - Another one turned up today, And yes they want to charge me for it and the delivery charge! time for a chat on their helpline! To set the scene, I have two PC's at home and an iMac. So when I decided to purchase a notebook it had to be the right one and for the right reasons. I scoured the pages og the popular computer magazines and compared prices and service with the High Street chains. The Time notebook turned out to be very good value for money - even with the (in my opinion) the extended warranty. Spec: AMD K62 500, 128mg Ram, 12Gb Hard Drive and 12.1 HPA. As I wanted a notebook for mainly study and writing up essays, the HPA and the price advantage did prove a worthwhile saving. THe extra software that comes with the PC is ideal for a new user or a student, but the games will never work properly on a HPA Laptop. Total price includig three year warranty £1687 inc vat and case/car charger/software/extended warranty.
