which isn t really required. You can now get it for under £500 (sigh- such is the way with computer-related items). DESIGN The laptop in question is the Toshiba Portege R200. When you take it out of the box, the first thing you will notice is the attractive, sleek silver look to it. It certainly looks the part for anyone wanting to take their laptop to a conference and hoping to make a good impression with a worthwhile machine. It has a nice silver, ultra-slim design and certainly looks the part. Although compact, the keyboard is easy to use (as eas to use as any other laptop keyboard, anyway). The speakers that come with this laptop are really, really good and you have the option on the side on the notebook to adjust the volume. I mentioned about the WI-FI connection earlier, I haven t used it, but I know ...

for me that she sent me off to PC World to buy one. What a machine! It has two basic modes of operation - Laptop and Tablet. I'll describe each of them for you, Dear Reader... Laptop Mode This is using the machine like a normal laptop. One opens the case in the normal way and this reveals a normal LCD screen and a keyboard and "scratch card" touchpad. The Power swictch is mounted on the lower left of the screen, and there are a further four buttons along the lower right of the screen which allow one-touch access to the Task Manager, scroll up, enter and scroll down. The pen (more of this below) also works in Laptop mode. Tablet Mode This is ...
