Windows Vista, as this is the only Vista machine I have used, or whether this is just the laptop itself. The laptop along with operating system comes with some Toshiba software for running the webcam and creating recovery discs etc. I suggest you create the recovery discs sooner rather than later as this will be your only way to restore the computer to factory settings. I have had my Laptop since 2006, and it is still functioning just fine, though maybe a bit noisier than 4 years ago! I use my laptop daily, for at least 10 hours, so I think that the fact that it is still functioning indicates that it is a durable laptop of a fantastic quality! It is perfect for work-related activities, such as typing documents and creating power-point presentations. I have had this Laptop for a while and it has served me well but I have noticed a few minor problems with it over the years. I was forced to double the RAM memory in it as at times when I had multiple programs running at the same time it would slow down to nearly a crawl and I would be either forced to wait for it to catch up with me or close some of the programs down. Since the RAM upgrade however it has performed a lot better and rarely uses all the memory available to it.
