After much searching and review reading, I chose this Laptop . I wasn t disappointed! It comes with Windows Vista (which I was a little uncertain of at first, as I d heard bad reports) and has enough memory and processing power to run the majority of programs. The initial start-up procedure was a little long winded, but that s down to Microsoft I presume as you need to set up Vista with your preferences, etc. Once up and running I installed Office and was soon happily writing in Word. it doesn t bother me at all. On a similar note, the laptop is VERY sturdy-and it should be, as a Toshiba. I also think the software included is great, there isn t too much to slow the system down- as with many other computers, just enough to be interesting and run the gadgets like the webcam and to store pictures.
