I got given this laptop for university 4 years ago and it was so nice to use when I first had it. The manual was clear and as I was used to Windows XP for a while, I found that Vista was just as easy to use.

The battery life of this laptop is possibly the worst I have seen on any laptop though. I am still using this laptop as I type this and if I unplug it from the charger, I would give it 2 minutes until it dies on me. I have now replaced my charger 5 times in the last 4 years, and the battery 3 times. It is a known fact that Toshiba laptops are great to use but their battery life is a let down.

I have started to buy my chargers from Ebay for £4.99 because when I went down Tottenham Court Road (London) to by a replacement charger, I was charged £65. Even if I buy 10 off ebay it would work out cheaper.

I recently wiped my laptop and installed Windows 7 after getting a virus. What toshiba failed to mention was that by adding Windows 7, I can no longer use my webcam as it was compatible with Vista and not 7.

I do think that at the time of purchase, this was a very good laptop, but newer and cheaper alternatives are out there. This includes, Acer, HP, and Apple.
