The Toshiba Satellite C660-155 laptop is amazing! Fast processor. Massive storage. Good webcam. The list goes on! I am writing this review on it now haha :)
My last laptop was a Toshiba too not quite sure of the model but I had it for about 4 years before it decided to die and instead of getting it repaired I decided I needed to upgrade, and believe me I am so glad I did!
This laptop has an Intel I3 Core processor and believe me when I say it is fast, it really is! Especially for the price too it is super good value.
The massive 320GB hard drive is more than enough storage I need to store all of my photos, music, videos and programs I have installed onto my laptop with room to spare :) The 4GB ram is definitely adequate for the amount of programs I have running at once and I can switch between them very quickly and easily with no fear of the laptop freezing or hanging between opening programs like previous laptops I have owned.
The webcam is great too very good quality and easy to use it doesn't require you to even switch the webcam on or mess about with installing software in order to get it working. It works well on Skype and the microphone is very good quality too if used for recording. You can take photos with the webcam and record video too by clicking on the Web Camera Application which is easy to find and is good to pin to your taskbar for ease of accessibility and they are saved into your documents in a folder you can specify.
There is very good sound from the speakers which isn't distorted when the volume is turned up, even to maximum. The keyboard is well spaced out and the keys are easy to press and big enough to press even if you have fat fingers haha :) Although I don't use the the Number Pad that often it is useful when typing up sums or numbers but obviously the Num Pad isn't specific to this laptop.
The touch pad has a great feel to it and the buttons used to click (don't know if there's a technical name for them) are quite large and make it easy to click on what you want on the screen. Also the touch pad can be tapped to click too as with many other laptops, but if you prefer not to have this it can be deactivated easily.
The Operating System is Windows 7 and is a massive improvement on my previous laptop that had Windows Vista and it was very very slow! The features of Windows 7 do make a massive improvement to the laptop as a whole and makes everything run a lot smoother.
There are 2 USB ports and they are positioned on the left hand side. This means that as I have a mouse plugged in the cable has be stretch around the back of the laptop to the right side as I am right handed. If you had a mouse and the cable wasn't very long then this may be more of a problem. Also, if you are using quite a large USB cable or device that is plugged in e.g. a SD card reader it can be hard to fit anything else in the USB slot next to it. Also the power cable is plugged in on the right hand side, although this doesn't cause a massive problem I think it would be a lot better if it was plugged in at the back of the laptop.
The overall look of the laptop is simple and stylish and looks very professional if you are using it for business purposes.
Summary: Amazing Laptop. Great value. Definitely Recommend!
