The T Toshiba Satellite L300D-10F is my first laptop. Out of pure excitement, I bought it in a rush and paid £399.99 for it. Being naive, I assumed that it would just be a great laptop and didn t really look around much. Fortunately, I wasn t disappointed and it was exactly what I expected. It is not flashy but looks smart in black. The screen is good and clear and bright. The Toshiba onscreen startup processes are a bit longwinded and there is more waiting around for things to load than I would like. It has Vista preinstalled which takes up quite a lot of the HDD space and contributes to the waiting around. I would have preferred XP. My son tried Back-Track which is a stripped down Linux based OS which he ran on a USB pen. This made the machine much quicker, but there seemed to be ...
