About 4 years ago I was looking to buy a laptop that was both fast, durable and flat out good to look at. While browsing through the hundreds upon hundreds of laptops in the market, the Toshiba Sattellite P200 17 inch caught my eye. The main thing that you will notice right off the bat with this laptop is the size of the 17 inch LCD widescreen. No matter what you want to see, you will for sure be able to see it with its 1440 x 900 screen resolution, you will get the clearest of the pictures. Not shown in the display picture is the digital camera which is located on the top panel of the screen. With this digital camera, you will be able to take high resolution pictures with easy of use.
The third main feature, or features I should say, is the amount of hardware that comes with this laptop. Comes stock is 4 2.0 USB slots, s-video out slot, cd burner, multi card reader (including memory chips),VGA out and many more.
Although this laptop is very good, it does have some downsides to it aswell. Coming stock with windows vista and 1 gig of ram, I fell that the 1 gig isnt much as it will take a little while to load processes due to vista's huge memory draning flaw. The second downside to this laptop is the lack of a graphics's card. Coming stock with integrated graphics, you will not be able to run more of the high end programs that require a high amount of graphics.
With the Satellite P200, you've more than set yourself apart from the crowd. This eye-catching Onyx Blue Metallic laptop, powered by Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology, has been redesigned with new half-pipe casing and Toshiba imprint on the lid. The 17" diagonal widescreen TruBrite display (WXGA+) and Harman/Kardon speakers will enhance your multimedia experience with a bright, crisp picture and premium sound. Use the built-in webcam to capture the sights during live chats, as you stay in touch with loved ones, using next generation high-speed wireless (802.11a/g/n), found on select models. Toshiba's DVD SuperMulti drive, now with Labelflash printing technology, let's you burn high quality labels directly onto Labelflash media. Connecting peripherals is also easier with 4 USB ports, placed on either side of the notebook, with an i.LINK IEEE-1394 port for large volumes of data on the back.
