This was my first ever laptop and it s good value for money. Before buying, I spoke to someone I know who repairs laptops and he told me Toshiba is the one brand he never sees being returned, which encouraged me. There are not a lot of features although it does come with the Premium Home Vista as opposed to the Basic which some laptops in the same price bracket come with. I did have some trouble downloading Flash Player and MSN Messenger but I got there in the end and to be honest, I do not know if it is because I had never tried to do it before or the errors on the computer were because of an error beyond my control. when using the battery didn't give much time to plug it into the mains. This has got better under linux, but still can surprise. Bearing in mind that it dates back a few years now, and it's as good as you can expect from an older laptop. Would suit anyone except those who need more horsepower, eg for video.
