bought this one after I swore never ever asus laptop again( broke after one year), so thought this one , I might better pay a little bit more and get it of someone reliable. The spec was major decision maker however I also researched for a reviews on Toshiba service ( just in case I have to go through it like I had with asus before ) .
The spec ( at that time ) was sort of briliant for the price I could have afford. Bought it from Argos, it was delivered very quickly. Easy to set up etc. The cover is shiny ( which I didnt like before) but I cant regret this thought any more - the matt surface ( especially on keyboard) would go shiny, this one is shiny straight away, you need only a cloth to polish it and it looks like new even after 3 years of use by now.
Also by my regular traveling ( planes) i must say , I wasnt sometime very nice to the laptop yet , it works fine ( knock knock on the wood).
One downsite ( which I have to research ) sometimes it (maybe overheats i guess) and it turns off itself. But when I turn it on back straigh away it works fine. I am using a lot of graphic software ( illustrator, photoshop etc) at the same time, so I guess I am giving it a proper go, but for those couple turns off, it works quite well and I am happy with it .
So far I didnt have to call the service either ( and i though first I might buy extended warranty, but because I missed the deadline, I didnt - well 50£ saved as it didnt need it by now ( 3 years on).
Oh yeah one more little downsite - when choosing this model i opted for 17 inch monitor which I thought might be more usefull because as i mentioned before using loads of graphic programs, however, when flying there and back - I hate the weight lol ( but to be honest I should have thought about it lol ) .
So if you consider the weight, I highly recommend this one.
