The Toshiba Satellite Pro p2100 (model p210e) is quite a chunky piece of machinery, recommended for small business and corporate use. At a glance it does look a bit bulky and dated, but it has a very wide range of capabilities and built in functions. I have seen this notebook computer retail at prices ranging from £400 to £700. It has an Intel Pentium 4 processor which runs at 1.7Ghz.

The notebook comes with a 30gb hard drive, 256mb RAM (memory), floppy disk drive and DVD ROM providing you will all the essentials. Further to this it also has a built in NVidia GeForce 420 Go 32mb graphics card, which is superb for a bit of gaming in your spare time! I have upgraded mine to 1gb RAM and it's now faster than a speeding bullet!

There are also two cardbus slots suitable for wireless networking, aswell as a built-in wireless adaptor. On the side of the machine there is an SD (SanDisk) card reader, which you can also get a Micro-SD adaptor for, in order to reader the smaller Micro-SD cards.

On the rear of the machine there are three USB slots and a hidden compartment with serial input and mouse/joystick input slots, aswell as a TV-out socket. The machine also has an on board ethernet adaptor, so you don't need wireless to connect to the internet.

The notebook may be a bit bulky and chunky to look at, but the keyboard layout is nice and compact which makes it very easy to type fast. I have also found this to be a very reliable machine and have found absolutely nothing whatsoever to complain about.

This is quite a high grade notebook computer, so if you're just looking for the basic features then this could be a bit too advanced. However, for small business you will find this to be a reliable machine with plenty of resources. A new battery should also provide up to two and a half hours use.
