      Very helpful

A good cheap and efficient laptop, not ideal for games, but will do fine for office apps.

Well this is a fairly low range laptop, it does its job fine, its powerful enough for the average non-gaming user, and its at a fairly decent price now.

This is not an ideal laptop for someone who's into gaming. It will struggle to run any game made after 2003.

It has a 1.7GHZ Pentium 4 processor, a decent enough processor, it will be able to handle programs such as AVG anti-virus without much slow-down, and will be able to load programs up at a decent pace.

My version of this laptop actually has 512mb of RAM instead of 256mb,there are 3 models of SP6100, the one described here i believe is the lowest model. 512MB of RAM is powerful enough to run games made up until 2008, but its mainly the graphics holding this laptop back.

The graphics card is in in-built Nvidia Geforce4 420 Go, not an ideal graphics card, it only has 32MB of memory, and a fairly low clock speed, and therefore will not be able to run many games. As it is integrated i do not believe you can replace it. Again this isn't really a problem unless you like gaming, as a graphics card isn't really needed for much else.

The HDD of my model is a 40gb instead of a 20gb mentioned here, again the lowest model does have a 20gb HDD. 40GB isn't a very large size, probably about average for a laptop of its time, but small compared to the standard 250gb-1tb that most laptops today have.

Really its a good laptop, if you can get past the weird mouse (nipple (or powerball) mouse) its a good machine. You may wish to use a USB mouse with it if you can't get the hang of the mouse, as its fairly tricky to handle, and clearly impossible to use in almost any game that requires fast movements such as a FPS or a Strategy game.

Rundown of the specs i know of:

      2x USB port
      1x Serial Port
      1x PS/2 Port
      1x Ethernet Port
      1x Power Cable Port
      1x Headphone Port
      1x Mic Port
      DVD-ROM Player
      Wireless Wi-fi Network

As mentioned before, these specifications are for the mid-ranged SP6100, i believe the specifications of the other versions are similar with the excpetion of the RAM, HDD and processor.
