Advantages: Comes with Vista Premium and is hardy

Disadvantages: Very poor battery life

This was my first ever laptop and it's good value for money. Before buying, I spoke to someone I know who repairs laptops and he told me Toshiba is the one brand he never sees being returned, which encouraged me.

There are not a lot of features although it does come with the Premium Home Vista as opposed to the Basic which some laptops in the same price bracket come with.

I did have some trouble downloading Flash Player and MSN Messenger but I got there in the end and to be honest, I do not know if it is because I had never tried to do it before or the errors on the computer were because of an error beyond my control.

Battery life is appalling, about an hour if you do not plug it in, and this is very disappointing. On the plus side, it is very hardy as I have bashed it around and dropped it being clumsy and nothing is broken!!

The DVD player does not always work so well either at times and fails to play.

Summary: Good for office use but not entertainment centre.
