I've owned this laptop for two years and have had very few problems.

The design is sleek. There is a generous keyboard and the touchpad is ergonomically friendly. The built-in web cam could give higher resolution but is sufficient for Skype or IM. The screen brightness when plugged in does not aggravate the eyes, but there is a significant drop in brightness if you run the laptop off the battery.

This laptop comes with a DVD writer and ample USB ports including a high-speed port.

Processing speed is ample for a student turned teacher. I have not tried gaming on the system (the graphics card installed may not support the high quality needed), but running multiple applications is not a problem.

The machine is fairly quiet but can be noisy on start-up. The fan is barely audible.

Overheating, for this machine, is a major downfall. The power cable supplied becomes red hot after half an hour, but at that point the battery is generally charged. The temperature on your lap can also be high but isn't uncomfortable. Battery life is good on power saving mode so the power block can cool down.

I have had a couple of instances of the machine not booting up correctly. Leaving the machine to cool off has got it back to rights every time.
