Great product for people who don't spend a lot of time on the computer

I received this Toshiba laptop as a gift, reason why I don't use it as often as other users might, because I also have my main desktop computer. However, I like to take this laptop with me when traveling because it's very light weight and easy to handle. It always worked fast for me, it takes seconds to turn on and it never froze as I never had this kind of issues with it. It was very easy to set up (only had to turn it on, anyone can do it) and it came with Windows 7! I only used it for activities like internet browsing, IM-ing, writing in MS Word and listening to music, so I cannot guarantee the same quality for movies, video games etc. The design is black, very simple and elegant, which I liked - however, I'm not very pleased with the mouse which is quite hard to use at times, and I'm someone who's quite good with laptop mouses, so I assume someone who finds them difficult in general will find this one very hard to use. The battery life is average and it lasts around two hours after fully charging it, although this varies depending on how much you're using the laptop and what for. The webcam is very low quality and I never used it (just tested it, looks pretty bad). Overall, I'm very pleased with the laptop and I take it everywhere with me. It fits people who only want to check their email or do some work in MS Word perfectly, and it also comes with Microsoft Office installed. It's very good for a low-price laptop.

A all round good basic laptop that does everything that the average person would require of it!

I was recently bought this laptop when my old one decided to completely give up. I have to say I am very pleased with it. It is basic looking- typical black computer with no fancy colours or logos however it contains everything you could possibly need in a laptop. The first thing I noticed when I took the laptop out of the box was how light in was in weight in comparison to my old laptop. This is definitely a positive aspect for me as I carry it around with me a lot on my travels, however it certainly isn't the lightest or smallest on the market- but it's not too bad at all. Secondly I was happy with the windows 7 and the fact that I wasn't required to purchase the whole Microsoft Office software package as the laptop already had Microsoft Office starter 2010 installed- meaning I have the use of Microsoft Word and Excel included- this is great for me as these are the only two office packages I use so It saves me money! The laptop in simple and straightforward to use and was very simple to set up the first time I turned it on. Also, the wireless internet was simple to set up and I was surfing the net within minutes-also every time I need to go online I'm on with just one click- no sign in's or windows to browse before finally getting where I want to be- a bonus for anyone who is busy and needs to get online fast. Price wise I found this laptop to be great value- much cheaper than many of its competitors however not as colourful or modern looking as some- but I wasn't going to pay £150 extra to have it in red or pink etc.- I'm quite happy with black and more money in my pocket! In conclusion- this laptop is great for the majority of people who if like me just want to surf the net, update iTunes and write the odd report or spread sheet. I would recommend this computer to anyone looking a new laptop at a lower price.
