Advantages: Not too heavy, decent screen size

Disadvantages: Too slow to fire up, battery life pretty crap

I'm fairly new to laptops having been used to working with PCs for most of my student and working life. My boyfriend and I received a second hand Toshiba Satelite Pro my his parents after they decided to upgrade and buy something a bit lighter and more powerful, I know know why they wanted to get rid of it!

I cant comment on the value for money of this laptop as we recieved it as a gift but with regards to power, it's fairly crap. Once the laptop is turned on it takes anything from 2-20 minutes to fire up and get going, yes it once took 20 minutes! it has such a poor processor and low memory that it struggles to get going (much like me first thing in the morning)

Once everything has kicked in and the laptop has going it's fine and a perfectly good machine for casual, leisure use. I doubt it would stand up to the rigours of working from home or on the move though, the keyboard is too annoyingly small for that and the keys often stick.

All in its a decent machine though suffers from lethargy more often that not.

Summary: Wouldnt recommend for anyone other than causal users
