Advantages: Robust, simple to use, fast enough for day to day use

Disadvantages: Battery life isn't great (but which £350 laptop is?)

This is the first laptop I have ever owned so naturally I was a bit unsure about which model to get. I did some researched, talked to a lot of friends and shop staff and the name Toshiba kept on coming up in the same sentenses as 'reliable', 'robust', and 'straight forward'. I bought this model (from the excellent John Lewis) and haven't looked back.
If you are looking for a simple to use, hard wearing, practical all round laptop this could be the one for you.
Its very easy to set up and run. Its strong and reliable and doesn't do any random things that could un-nerve you. It has a battery life of about 2.5 hours and the built in speakers are loud and good enough to listen to music or watch a dvd on. All in all its a great all-rounder and for normal day to day internet, email, photos, music, dvd type stuff its brilliant. Highly recommended.
