After much searching and review reading, I chose this Laptop . I wasn t disappointed! It comes with Windows Vista (which I was a little uncertain of at first, as I d heard bad reports) and has enough memory and processing power to run the majority of programs. The initial start-up procedure was a little long winded, but that s down to Microsoft I presume as you need to set up Vista with your preferences, etc. Once up and running I installed Office and was soon happily writing in Word. m fairly new to laptops having been used to working with PCs for most of my student and working life. My boyfriend and I received a second hand Toshiba Satelite Pro my his parents after they decided to upgrade and buy something a bit lighter and more powerful, I know know why they wanted to get rid of it! I cant comment on the value for money of this laptop as we recieved it as a gift but with regards to power, it s fairly crap. This computer is simply fantastic. Its speed is phonomenal. It can download 10MB of the internet in a measly 5 minutes. On a standard computer with a 28.8kb modem it would take hours.
