I bought myself the Toshiba Satellite X200-20T back in 2007, attracted by the product's great reviews and specification.
The laptop features a Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz processor, 2GB memory, 320GB Hard Disk capacity, Nvidia 8700m GT 512MB graphics card, 17inch widescreen TFT and a HD-DVD/DVD-R/CD-R drive. The operating system is Windows Vista.
I quite like to play the latest computer games every now and then, and this laptop is great for anything like that. Games like Oblivion, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, MotoGP '07 and Black and White 2 run with full settings enabled without any slow down. I have had issues playing Grand Theft Auto 4 though, but I think that this is a common occurance with most computers.
The sound from the laptop is really superb! The computer contains stereo speakers with an in-built subwoofer, meaning no need for seperate speakers if you are a music fan!
One downside to this laptop is the battery life. Basically, it depends what you are using your laptop for. If you're playing a processer intensive game or watching a DVD, the battery will probably last for between an hour to an hour and a half. It will last much longer though if you are just surfing the net or word processing for example. I recommend that you use the PC where there is a powerpoint nearby.
The warranty with the laptop is good, giving 1 year onsite cover. This can be extended by a further 2 years, on a collect and return basis. I paid about £80 for this, though the cost is much less these days.
After using the laptop now for just under 2 years, I've got to say that I am very impressed with it still, and certainly do not regret my purchase. It is by far the best computer that I've ever owned. I would definitely buy a Toshiba laptop again in the future.
