... my first, and last, Toshiba machine. Touted to be reliable and tough, the 9100 Tecra is a glass-jaw of a machine. Looking on the net, including eBay, I have found several machines advertised with exactly the same list of failed components. It appears that Toshiba is unconcerned with reputation for these products. Compared to my last computer, an Averatec, this portable is incredibly unportable. Within a year of ownership, much of the machine has died (USB ports, WiFi, audio input and output, and the parallel port. This is my first, and last, Toshiba machine. Touted to be reliable and tough, the 9100 Tecra is a glass-jaw of a machine.
