Toshiba Satellite L300D-10F ... £349.99 for this and it was a good buy at the time, the charger however has had to be replaced TWICE which I would say is something to bear in mind if you are thinking of one. Aside from this, it has a reasonable 250gb hard drive, which should more than suffice for everyday use, but if your a gamer or like a lot of music, then you may want a larger hard drive. It also comes with a good amount fo ram, 2gb. Which does make the laptop run very speedily, it also comes complete with a dvd rw, which is very fast also, however its best to stick to 4x. The only downside, by personal preference, is that it comes with Windows Vista. However, as I said this is personal preferen... Toshiba Satellite U400-11Q ... Toshiba U400 is a 13.3" laptop with a high specification. It has a built in webcam, Core 2 Duo processor, wireless internet, Bluetooth and DVDRW drive. The hard drive fast and quite as is the fan which I look for in a laptop as I hate noisy fans on computers. The laptop has a nice black gloss finish which looks good but is impossible to keep from finger print marks. The keyboard layout is easy to use and the keys have a nice feel. The 13.3" screen is a good size as it is not too small to view text and spreadsheets but not so large that it makes the laptop bulky.
