Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-155 ... never owned or really wanted to own a lapotop I received this as part of the AOL internet promotion. Initially I was sceptical as to its performance and for it to be given away for free I was worried it wouldnt be able to perform to the level I required. How wrong I was. I have found its hardware components more than capable of dealing with anything I require it to do, be it listening to music, creating cds, editing images or general internet usage. The laptop is fitted with a built in webcam and speaker that I often use with skype to contact friends and family overseas. Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-292 ... been attached to my desktop for as long as I can remember, I got a bit of a shock when this was loaned to me by my uni for my work. I asked them for something that did better than the older, smaller laptop, and boy does this deliver! I m usually moving about a lot, but when I sit down, I want to get to what I want quickly. Luckily, the Toshiba can run either Vista or have XP installed (the one I m using is XP Pro) and has a quick load up time in comparison to some of the other laptops I ve tried. Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-155 ... laptop is set at an amazing price!it is a great entry laptop for anyone. the hard drive is a decent size however, if you are the type that downloads movies you might want to get your self an external hard drive. the 1GB of ram is standard there s days an is ok however if running vista it can make multi tasking a little harsh on the speed. this laptop has 2 RAM slots allowing it to be upgraded to 2GB, however the current ram cards are 2x 512Mb cards meaning that you will have to get rid of them an replace them with 2x1GB cards if i wish to upgrade that much, it is still possible to upgrade to 1.5GB, however it still wont provide the performance you would be looking at...
