On first boot you have to install the software from its harddrive, no dvd is supplied, and following this you should burn recovery disks with which to reinstall the hard disk should you lose the factory installed stuff. Toshiba Satellite Pro L300D-20R ... a bore. There is simply nothing that stands out in this laptop and is a brilliantly average run-of the mill middle ranged gizmo. First off, though I am a huge fan of AMD processors (for gaming purposes usually), the AMD Athlon dual core 64 is by far ruled over by the Intel Dual Core. Paying 400$ for a mere 2 GB and 160 GB hard disk is in the current market not a very wise thing to do, given the huge spec advantages offered by competitors just 100$ up the price range. There is also no scope of extending the memory if you were considering the option, because believe it or not both the slots are taken and there is no third slot. Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-291 ... is a extraordinary laptop for such a low price. The Toshiba satelitte pro L300 has an above average screen which is capable of watching videos as well as any business tasks due to the colours being bright and vivid. The screen doesn t suffer from any problems with any viewing and the screen can be viewed in direct sunlight. The battery life can be great if you choose the right settings which can get you about 3 hours and 30 minutes out of the laptop before you have to plug it in but most of the time you will only get 2 hours out of the laptop before you have to plug the charger in.
