Toshiba Portege R200 ... odd title for a review, I know, but this is a fairly odd laptop- as far as I m concerned at least- mainly because I actually *like* it and haven t got tired of carrying it around. COST Well, when I bouight it, which was 2 years ago now- around £1200 all in all, included Windows XP, with service pack 2 plus lots of Toshiba software, most of which isn t really required. You can now get it for under £500 (sigh- such is the way with computer-related items). DESIGN The laptop in question is the Toshiba Portege R200. Toshiba Satellite L30-11H ... is one of the best brands in the computer industry. This laptop has a massive 120Gb storage which is enough to store all your photo s and music files. It also has a average ram space which is enough for windows vista, and all your files. It is completly wireless, so you can set up wireless broadband with ease. It has one of the latest processors of dual core making it easy to word files and play games. It has the latest software Windows vista with breathtaking visuals, windows vista basic, is good if you want to view music, video s and the latest games. Toshiba Satellite L30-11E ... L30-10V. This laptop is very nice, light and modern. With it s silver lid and metal logo it gives a real modern feel. Instead of sticking to one colour and making the laptop look boring, Toshiba have made the inside plastics black, making the laptop look very stylish. I find the battery lasts around an hour on average performance although the stated amount is 1.5 hours but I guess that is on very low performance. The screen can very in contrast from very dull and easier for the eyes, or, very bright so you can see everything clearly.
