... this laptop for work. It is everything I would expect of a Toshiba, sturdy, good looking, reliable. The keys are bold and well labelled and the screen is wide and clear. The processor is fast and 2 GB RAM more than enough for work and personal use. I did upgrade it to 4 GB but only because I had some spare memory, not because it was slow. Toshiba Satellite L300D-10F ... Toshiba satellite L300D-10F is my first laptop. Out of pure excitement, I bought it in a rush and paid £399.99 for it. Being naive, I assumed that it would just be a great laptop and didn t really look around much. Fortunately, I wasn t disappointed and it was exactly what I expected. For the price of the laptop it has great specifications. It has 2 GB ram, which I hear is what you need for vista to run perfectly. The more ram you have the quicker your programs will load. It includes a 250 GB hardrive, great for holding lots of music and video. After three months I still have plenty of hardrive space left. Toshiba Satellite 4100XCDT ... have still got one of these great robust laptops from the good old days. The screen provides a good quality bright image, which works well outdoors. I have been running linux on this laptop as firstly its free and you can tailor the operating system to run quick and efficiently on a laptop like this one which only has a pentium 2 processor. when I got the laptop it came with windows 98 second edition, this was and still is one of the best and easiest to use operating systems still running. The keyboard is very easy to use, keys respond well to even the lightest touch, this may be a bad thing to some people who are used to heavy handed typing, but I prefer the light touc... Toshiba Portege R400-106 ... this laptop for about 6 months. Pros of this laptop are that it virtually never gets hot and so can be used for ages. I also looks great with the gloss white finish. Also has 3g data card built in which is very handy. The screen is LED backlit which is great as it greatly reduces eye strain. The laptopwas able to handle most tasks fairly well and was capable of opening multiple applications. its also great that it comes with Vista Ultimate as you get all the features of Vista Business but also get Media Centre. The tablet pen is very precise and a great feature. The cons of this laptop are that it is sometimes quite slow. also, the screen bezel will break quite easi...
