Toshiba Satelite Pro A300-1MC ... power and click install. How easy is that?! Once the operating system is installed the computer will start up and this is where the only problem with this mahcine lies - it takes ages to start up! I am unsure whether this is due to Windows Vista, as this is the only Vista machine I have used, or whether this is just the laptop itself. The laptop along with operating system comes with some Toshiba software for running the webcam and creating recovery discs etc. I suggest you create the recovery discs sooner rather than later as this will be your only way to restore the computer to factory settings. Toshiba A200-195 ... owned this for just over a year now. It is very reasonably priced considering what it comes with. When I first bought it, it was very speedy and operations took place quickly. Since then it has slowed dramtically which is quite a disadvantage. BAttery life on the laptop isn t good, and buying another battery for this model is very expensive. It is quite a large laptop compared to rivals but does come at a lower price. Mine has never gone wrong in any way, and is still working well now. The screen is large and makes gaming and film watching really good. THe speakers are not very good at all, but attaching headphones or another better set of speakers makes it much quic... Toshiba Equium A100-147 ... have had this laptop for a while and it has served me well but I have noticed a few minor problems with it over the years. I was forced to double the RAM memory in it as at times when I had multiple programs running at the same time it would slow down to nearly a crawl and I would be either forced to wait for it to catch up with me or close some of the programs down. Since the RAM upgrade however it has performed a lot better and rarely uses all the memory available to it. The screen is relatively good as I do not use it for too many demanding tasks but sometimes the frame of the screen can allow a gap before the actual screen which allows dust to gather, this is not...
