... am writing this review from this laptop, and let me tell you, it is very good. The large amount of RAM is perfect for running multiple programs at once, I can run a large graphics software, lots of internet tabs, Google earth and a few more programs without it stuttering. It can cope with anything you throw at it (apart from water =]) It is also very quiet, and it doesn t randomly start whirring like some laptops. ... Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 ... bought this laptop in the January sales for my girlfriend who was after a new one, as hers was the victim of a nasty soft drink accident. I did a lot of research into various online and high street stores for decent offers and value for money laptops and the Toshiba Satellite L300-1AS was the leading contender by a long shot. If you re after a reliable machine for business or personal use, this model is a great choice to consider and with a brand you can trust. Toshiba provide a large number of businesses with this range and have won awards for how reliable they can be. Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300 ... in the day this was an amazing laptop - I had (and still use for the internet and word processing) the version with Windows 2K (still capable of running XP) with 256Mb RAM and a 16Gb HD. The laptop runs great, it is fast for a laptop of it s specs. It comes with a DVD drive and CD writer, which is very good for backing up files and the laptop is more than capable of watching movies. The hard disk space is a little small, but if you have a USB key and CDs then you can just back up stuff and still have easy access to it. One disadvantage is that it lacks a wireless networking card, so you can t just connect to a wifi network - but for £10 or so you can buy a card to... Toshiba Satellite L350-145 ... this laptop nearly 2 months now and as far as operating spec goes it does what it says on the tin. had a few hiccupps withit though as i have had it replaced once due to an inherent failure of the hard drive after 3 weeks. had to argue the cause with Comet, but fair dos to them, they swapped it and were very apologetic. It works well on the internet and speeds are very reasonable. It does seem slightly slow changing programmes but if you can live with this then its great. I can say much more as i am not too technically minded but it as i have said operates very well, does the job and is not too expensive for home use.
