The 8ppm is still fast enough, it can catch a good chunk of paper for you or just drop it all in the floor on a pile. It can almost hold a full pack of 500 sheets in the in tray. The quality doesn t fade as the drum is built into the cartridge so the quality is renewed with every cartridge change. The accuracy is enough for any document printing need, I used this printer to print my dissertation and my gf is now using it to print hers. ... was fortunate enough to buy this printer for £70 last year - from Amazon. I decided to go for a mono laser printer after endless hassle with poor quality colour inkjet printers. We hardly ever printed anything in colour so the move to a black and white laser was ideal for us. Not much to say about unpacking it. It comes with the standard 3 pin "kettle lead" and mine came with a (short) CAT5 network cable (NO USB cable though, as usual with printers). Also included is one of those big fold-out step-by-step setup guides and the driver CD. ... have a collection of printers in use in my house for various purposes, from brands such as Brother, Epson, Lexmark and HP. Therefore, I think I m well placed to make a good, relevant review of a printer when I have so much to compare it to! The Xerox Phaser 3130 is my "everyday" printer for black and white documents. This means I use it to print letters or documents that aren t particularly important - e.g. if I want to print off a website page to refer to it. I think this printer is perfect for this type of printing because the quality is fine for text (e.g letters) but isn t as good as other printers in terms of resolution for printing images.
