Advantages: cheap ink, print quality
Disadvantages: huge!!
other ink cartridges can cost up to £40 for a full pack of four which is just ridiculous especially when you consider you can get a printer for this price which comes with free ink so it would just be cheaper to buy a new printer every time you run out of ink.
This printer is a mono laser printer, the fact being that this printer is for offices and most offices just don't have inkjet printers anymore as lasers are just so much better quality.
There not only better quality prints, there ink really does stand out from the page and gives a nice shiny look on what ever you print, also they are usually a lot faster too and can handle more documents at a time the inkjets can which are all good reasons why these are used in offices as they really do give a professional look on whatever you print off.
The paper tray for this printer is actually at the bottom and is hardly visible at all. It can hold up to 250 sheets of a4 paper at any time. If you fold down the front panel to this printer however there is another tray which is for special paper, things like envelopes or other sizes than a4. This can take another 50 pages and there is also another tray underneath that one which can hold up to 250 pieces of paper, so effectively you can have room for 800 pieces of paper however 500 of these are optional and you usually do have to pay extra for the optional 500 piece paper tray to fit inside.
The screen on this is handy and its good it having a screen however it's a bit of a let down that this isn't a colour screen.
Instead its only an little strip screen much similar to those on calculators, however on the plus side it does have a back light and its east to read and allows you to navigate your way through the menus on the printer.
The printer its self is quite big, however being that its in an office this shouldn't really be a problem, however if you were to use one of these at home it might big a little too big.
This printer even has a wi fi option, this means its got wi fi built into it, in the same way a laptop does. This means you could connect your printer to a wireless netwok in your house or office so that everyone in that network can use the printer, and use it wirelessly, so you could be upstairs on your laptop, but connected to the printer wirelessly, press print and your document will print off the printer that is downstairs.
If you don't want to use this feature then the printer can still be connected by USB, although it would seem a waste if you were to not use this fantastic feature.
The print quality of this printer is above average, after all it is for an office and documents printed off on it does look really professional. Its speeds are really good too managing to reach speeds of around 30 pages a minute.
