A great little printer for medium to high volume printing.

Ive never been too picky with printers, in fact this was the first one i bought for myself, the rest have been family printers. I don't do an excessive amount of printing but i do need to print multiple times a week and most of the time i print in bulk. With previous printers i've used i have found the main issue to be speed and things like paper jams happening, i had heard good things about this specific printer so i thought i would give it a try.

Firstly i want to talk about the design, its great! Simplistic and compact, nothing fancy; Its a printer, it prints things, no unnecessary flashing lights or built in games consoles, just a printer. Its a reasonable size and will fit nicely on an average sized desk next to a computer monitor, or even underneath the desk to minimise clutter.
There isnt an army of cables protruding from the machine which makes life alot simpler if you own a computer with about 912 leads which do god knows what.

As stated on the specification list for this printer it prints at 38 sides a minute, to be honest i didnt really know how fast that was before i had used it, but its pretty fast, much faster than all the previous £40 printers that i had used. For people who print only 1 page at a time maybe a cheaper slower printer would be better as the speed is only really noticeable when you've printed off 50 double sided pages in under 3 minutes.

The USB slot comes in very handy when i'm printing off something from work that i haven't yet put onto my PC, it makes life easier and thats what technology is meant to do. The only way to improve this would be to maybe upgrade to a USB 3.0 slot to allow for faster transfer but it absolutely isn't necessary.

While printing there is a considerable amount of noise however i haven't heard of any silent printers and the sound isn't exactly painful. Plus when printing large amounts of paper it is unlikely that you would stay in the same room and just watch it print!

The quality of the printed page is as good as any other printer out there, i haven't had any ink run or any places where the ink has 'blotched'.
As i said earlier a big problem with previous printer has been paper jamming, this printer seems to have a much more fluid paper loading system that pretty much eliminates pesky paper jams leading a much more relaxing printing experience!

A function of this printer is its sleep mode and is a great way of saving power, it takes under 20 seconds to start up and be ready to print.

Overall i believe this printer to be excellent for medium to high volume printing and would recommend to anyone who prints more than 50 pages a week. However for people who don't print as much, i think a cheaper alternative would do the job just a well.
