Way too expensive to run (Canon i-Sensys LBP5050)
Member Name: Carrickbegkate
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Guzzles ink This printer will print approx 500 colour pages at 50% coverage and then the cartridges will need replacing. This is nowhere near the 1500 pages promised by Canon when you buy full cartridges. I think it might be even more expensive to run than an inkjet! It ships with only partially filled cartridges and I needed to replace those with full ones after a few days, having printed around 300 pages. Now, one week later and after printing only 500 pages with the new ones, they need replacing. I run a home based business and print around 1000 pages a week at 50% coverage - I'd be bankrupt if I kept this printer. The print quality is very good, but the ink doesn't adhere very well and will smudge quite easily. And I do use good quality paper and always choose the right settings. I'm afraid this printer is destined for the printer graveyard and its back to HP for me. At least their toner cartridges last a reasonable amount of time. Summary: Steer clear
