---About---
A got this printer on offer a few years ago, and have had it since 2006. I just wanted to tell everyone about my experiences with this printer, and this review would most likely be of interest to those who have the Samsung ML-1610 as they are the same printers, and take the same toner cartridge.

---Setup and installation---
I used to have this set up on my old pc which had windows XP installed on it. The printer installed easily and quickly with the CD that contained the drivers. **It is important to install the software/drivers before you connect the printer, as it says on the manual otherwise you could mess up the installation. The PC software tells you how much toner you have left, and even offers you to click to buy more toner online. Since then I have installed the printer on a mac, and although the printer is not officially supported you can get it to work by googling for the drivers for the Samsung ML-1610.

---Printing and quality---
The printer prints quickly, those who are used to inkjets will notice that it heats up and emits a certain odour, this is perfectly normal for laser toner printers. The printer prints in about 4 seconds per page, although this depends on the quality output that you select. The only niggles I have had is that sometimes on the rare occasion the paper would jam, and that means I would have to take the lid of to manually pull the paper out.

---Overall---
This is a great printer, and being a laser printer it is very economical, I have been able to take the toner cartridges to cartridge world to have them refilled which works out cheaper too and is more environmentally friendly.
