I LOVE this printer!!
I umm'd and ahh'd about paying extra for the Dell name and was a little concerned about its "boxy" looking style but from the point of view of someone running a business from home - it has been invaluable - I wish I hadn't waited so long!
I find the print quality excellent and set up was very easy. I find its function for doing bigger print runs fast is a must and has saved me a fortune in photocopy runs in town as my previous printer wasn't able to meet the demand!
The ink / toner isn't the cheapest but I do find its lasting well. I haven't tried non-Dell products and won't as I'm concerned that using cheaper refills will damage the machine so take the price of refills into account when considering buying the Dell Laser Printer 1710n. This is a must for heavy printing users and invaulable for printing on diferent types of paper and card ie postcards, labels, envelopes, letterheads.

The one feature I did have some dificulties with as the networking so as to link the different pc's to the printer but I managed eventually. This may have had more to do with my not knowing myway around Windows Vista as well a I do XP though!
