HP Color Laserjet 8500 ... Hewlett-Packard Color LaserJet 8500 prints in color and monochrome, accepts media to 12x18.5 inches in size and can be used as a network printer with optional print servers. Add the optional memory upgrades and auto duplex kit and the 8500 is prepared to meet growing print demands.

A 133MHz processor powers the printer's yield of full-color prints at 6 ppm and crisp monochrome at 24 ppm, at 600 dpi resolution with HP ImageREt 2400. The HP ImageREt 2400 technology precisely blends toner to produce photorealistic prints without adjusting driver settings. HP ColorSmart II technology automatically provides the best color settings for consistent color results. Paper handling options include an auto duplex unit for two-sided printing capability. The Color LaserJet 8500 uses a bi-directional parallel port interface, cable included. Two open EIO slots allow network connectivity with optional HP JetDirect internal print servers for Ethernet and TokenRing networks. A 2GB hard disk option is also available for expanded font storage and mopier function. The 8500 supports HPostScript Level 3 emulation with 136 TrueType scalable typefaces. It automatically switches between languages and ports, and supports a free Web JetAdmin printer management software download from HP's site.
