      A great printer

I purchased this product as I was looking for something more economical for my business rather than my inkjet printer which seemed to guzzle ink cartridges. I plumped for this make and model after seeing it on offer, and knowing that HP are a good trusted make.

The verdict? A great choice! I am constantly amazed at how fast this thing prints, and the quality of the printing is so much better than a inkjet printer, and a lot better than some of the other laser printers I have come across. It prints 8 pages per minute, which even looks super fast when you are watching them come out. The quality and vividness of the colurs are truly outstanding, and I have used this to print posters and high definition pictures, without a problem.

Using the printer couldnt be easier either-all you do is install the software from the supplied CD, by following the instructions, and away you go. One of the things I also like about this, is that its not overcomplicated by having too many features and buttons on the printer itself. It simply has a stop button, and a start, and it has lights for when the ink cartridges are low and about to run out.

Getting onto the ink, its always worth checking out before you buy a printer how much the ink costs. Its important to remember that laser printers are always much more expensive, but the toners last for ages, and I would say they actually work out much better value for money. This printer takes for seperate cartridges, and they each cost somewhere between £60-£75 depending on where you shop. Sounds expensive, but they each do around 2200 pages, so they will last you a long time. As a business user, they last me ages, but this printer isnt even designed for business use, so it lasts even longer!

Other features on the HP printer worth mentioning are the easy instalation and removal oif the ink cartridges. With some of the printers I've had in the past, you need a PhD almost to remove the things! These just simply lift in and out. The paper tray is also a good size.

Lastly, once you have installed the software on the computer, and are printing, HP have come up with a decent control panel for the printer, which gives you plenty of information about what you are printing, how much ink you have left etc. Very handy.

Overall a great laser printer, I cant fault it!
