Ideal for home or small office

I've recently installed this printer in a school to replace a HP 2600n. Besides being quite heavy, this is a great entry-mid level printer that prints at a good speed with fantastic quality for the price. The print speeds are pretty much spot on to what HP claim it can do. On colour tests, it performs well and teachers are using it to print photos and high quality pictures. It does tend to lean towards yellow & cyan but this is only evident when printing certain pictures.

I'm currently networking this printer between 5 users and i have had no problems with the print spooler or with print backlogs, jams etc.

This printer ships with a starter pack of print cartridges but these don't last very long. Replacement cartridges are in the region of £100 so are not the cheapest out there. I have yet to order a second load of cartridges so i guess you get a decent amount of print for your buck.

Great Budget printer whos Posative attributes far exceed its negativities.

The CP2025n is a great workhorse. One great advantage is that it has native PCL support which means it doesn't have to rely on a host-based printer driver. I find its capacity is closer to 250 sheets compared to its 300 reccomended but this is still plenty. I have printed well over 1000 sheets so far on the cartridge i was supplied. the only minor complaint about this product is that the sheets of paper curled slightly when being printed on. I must stress that this was only when printing full color sheets and they soon flattened out afterwards. I would definately say that the speeds quoted by the manufacturer of mono and colour speeds of 14.2ppm and 11.2ppm are pretty much spot on. i have not had any spooler issues with this machine even after networking up to 3 computers. My ultimate gripe with this printer is its random cleaning cycles, which leave you twiddling your thumbs in anticipation of your print. Apart from that it is a great budget printer and i would reccomend it for casual users but not for offices.
