I use the HP LaserJet CP1525N in my office. It's a great cheap run printers, toner cartridges can be expensive, but if you shop around and but compatibles you will find long lasting ones for quite cheap. Put it this way, if you use an inkjet printer and do a lot of printing, I can guarantee you'll save money using a printer like this one (in the long term).
The printer, is easy to set up and easy to use. You can print from anywhere in the world (providing the printer is turned on) using HP ePrint.
It doesn't come with wireless, look at the HP LaserJet CP1525WN for the Wireless Network function.
When printing to this printer, it can take some time to print. Don't use this printer if you're going to be in a rush. Around 12 pages per minute, although it does print in quite good quality.
I would say the only downside to this printer is the speed. If it was a little faster, I'd be happy!
I needed a cheap economical printer for my uni work and was fed up with paying so much for ink cartridges, so i decided to go for a Laser-jet. At just under £150 this was slightly expensive but i figured i would save more in the long run. The toners for this cost just under £50 and you should get 2000+ sheets from the black and white and about 1500+ from the colour, these normally last me about a year, and if coupled with cheap Tesco paper, you will be making quite some savings over the long run.
Setting up the printer is very easy, insert the toners into the printer after removing the packaging and tape strips, plug it into your router, and finally load the drivers and they should detect the printer on your network and do the rest for you. The whole house can then print to this printer as long as you put the software on all their computers.
Speed-wise, this printer is not really that fast, it does about 10 pages per minute, but if your not in any sort of rush this won't bother you much. The quality is pretty good but i wouldn't use it to print photographs as you get better quality at a cheaper price from any of the 3 main supermarkets. for the occasional picture it is acceptable though. This printer is also quite noisy when it is printing, you would be wise to put it in some cupboard or far away from where you are working.
Overall, the printer is pretty good at what it does and i have been happy with it so far, if it was a little quicker i would give it the 5 stars.
This printer does have upgradable ram on-board, but that does not help any normal consumer, all it means is less spooling is required and larger documents and pictures can be held in the memory speeding up the process by a few seconds, as the document is held on the printer instead.
This printer does not come with wireless. The printer that comes with the wireless is the model above this one.
