Advantages: Fast speed, capable of holding 250 sheets of paper

Disadvantages: Expensive toners

We are currently using several of these printers and first impressions are very good. The printer is nice and compact allowing it to sit neatly on a desk and yet can perform as well as some larger printers we also have. Made by HP the 1505 has the added advanatge of being a networked printer meaning you can add it to your home network and print from any computer connected to the network. This saves alot of hassle with connecting cables each time you want to print.

The printer is capable of printing up to 23 pages per minute which is plenty for home use. It will also hold up to 250 sheets of paper in the input tray and hold 100 sheet in the output tray meaning you dont have to refill every 5 minutes!

A big disadvantage of thes printer is the cost of the toners, expect to pay between £50 - £80 depending on your source although if you buy non HP toners they can be a bit cheaper. Alot of people are fooled by the relativly cheap price of this printer but you will soon find your spending alot on toners.

We have been able to print between 2000 - 3000 pages per toner however so if your just using this as an occasional printer it shouldnt matter too much.

Also be aware that when you buy the printer it only comes with an introductory toner meaning that it is generally only half full.

I would highly reccomend this printer for general office use although if your printing large volumes it could be an expensive option.

Summary: Great compact printer for the home office.

Geee! The cost of toners is pretty steep - what a shame. Thanks for the warning.
