Being a purchaser of HP products for the majority of my life, i must say that this printer is a big improvement on my old model, a Laserjet 4000. I was after a model spec for my small office which provided me with speed (i get around 27-30 pages per minute), yet was efficient and had a really good print detail. The bonus was that even the noise levels were reduced :)
However what i find an major improvement is the wireless printing from apple devices such as my iPad and the Eprint feature, where you can email the printer directly from your mail box. In regards to setting up the printer, i would say it will nearly automatically and quickly connect to your wireless network setup, enabling any PC to find it to use, however if problems do occur then the drivers are openly available on the HP website to download along with simple instructions, which are always a big help in stressful situations. Available in the box is the toner cartridge, which provides a standard capacity print of 2700 pages.
With an option for 3 paper trays, the standard input capacity of 300 pages is more than enough, with the advantage of having automatic 2 sided printing a big thumbs up. Due to the highly professional performance provided by this printer, i would stick to the motto of that you can't go wrong with a HP printer as this specific model does not disappoint to the least. I will also highly recommend this to any students out there, who want to print batches of lecture notes on the cheap, buy this and you will save for many years, compared to the prices of printing from smaller printers or in universities etc.
