This workhorse is capable of printing up to 17 pages-per-minute in crisp 600x600dpi resolution from either Windows or Macintosh environments. The Network Printer 17 also features auto language, interface and network protocol to provide simple operation in multi-platform environments. As a result of TrueRes technology and the standard 35 scalable Intellifont, 10 TrueType and 2 bitmapped typefaces (with optional Adobe Postscript Level 2 SIMM with 65 Adobe Type 1 typefaces), your documents will always look their best. Font management capabilities let you easily store and recall custom fonts and forms. Sharing has never been easier. The Network Printer 17 offers 4MB of RAM, expandable to 66MB, as well as a high speed parallel interface. Also there are two additional interface slots for Ethernet and Token-Ring network cards or Coax and Twinax interface cards. You can print on a variety of media including plain paper, envelopes, labels, transparencies and card stock. Paper feeds from the main 500-sheet tray and up to four other addressable input trays for media flexibility. Other options include a user-installable duplex (2-sided) feature, 810MB hard drive and Flash memory for font storage.
