The drum and developer unit are only changed at 300, 000 prints, so users need only be concerned with the changing of the toner cartridge. Resolution of 1200 x 1200 up to 2400 x 600 DPI with image enhancement delivers rich blacks, crisp edges and finely detailed halftones. Unlike many competitors, it delivers 1200 x 1200 DPI output with no loss in print speed.

The FS-1800N+ processes an entire file one time, then stores the fully-rasterized image in RAM for printing at full engine speed - not controller speed. Multiple Original prints instantly, without clogging up the cue with multiple outputs. The FS-1800N+ is ideal for printing invoices, reports, direct mail, forms and bar codes. Custom forms can be created using Prescribe II or third party software such as Forms Designer. Prescribe II also provides ways to print bar codes quickly and efficiently.

All paper sizes can be on-line at the same time and less time will be spent replenishing the paper supply. Paper stock includes: colored, recycled, pre-printed, OHP film (bypass only), postcards, envelopes and labels. An optional automatic 70-sheet envelope feeder is available. The FS-1800N+ is Energy Star compliant. When inactive, it automatically "powers down", reducing electrical consumption and cutting operational costs.
