The Ricoh C231N is a solid sturdy work-group printer that has a great print quality and a quick warm up time. They are cheap to buy (compared to other printers in a similar style and while there is no duplexing feature as standard on this model it is adequate for most small business users or even the demanding home user.
The biggest flaw with this printer is the cost of the toner, it is so expensive and still only yields the standard 2500/200 page yield @ 5%. It seems that this printer has Lexmark syndrome whereby in the early Lexmark printers it was cheaper to buy a new printer with the ink that it came with than it was to replace the ink when it had run out. The same can be said for this printer. The toner will set you back on average 3-4 times the cost of purchasing the printer in the first place.
