Nice colour laser for home or small office networks (Samsung CLP 300N)
Member Name: laser1234
Advantages: Network capability, small unit, print quality good Disadvantages: Jams when paper tray is nearly empty This is a great little network colour laser printer, which would suit home or small business use. Setup is really, really easy. Just pop in the disk, it'll find the printer on your network, and away you go. I had to do a little tinkering to get it working on the network with a Mac, but that was also relatively painless. The print quality is excellent - colours and blacks look as they should on normal copier paper - with great contrast. It also prints well on laser photograph paper, so should you be wanting to use it for printing your shots, it does a good job of that, with excellent levels of detail. It prints pretty quickly, and is reliable. The only occasion where it jams is if there is only one or two sheets of paper left in the tray, which is struggles to cope with. However, if you keep it topped up, it keeps going, performing quickly, reliably and in good quality too. Summary: A very good quality printer in this category - great to have network capability for a good price.
