This is an exceptional printer for the price. I had wanted to upgrade my inkjet printer for some time due to it constantly breaking down, eating paper and costing me a small fortune in ink. I saw this nifty little printer advertised online and thought I was living in the future! I didn't realise you could purchase a laser printer on a budget, let alone a colour one. It's described as compact, and in comparison to most all-in-ones it is, however it is a little heavy. It is aesthetically pleasing and sleek. It's remarkably quick and works out cheaper to run in the longer term than your standard inkjet. The quality of printing is superb, and whilst it's not recommended as a photo printer - photos are detailed, bright and shiny. It's worth noting that cartridges are about £50 each and this model requires 4. But as I mentioned, they last much longer than standard inkjet replacements. It would probably work out more expensive if used frequently, but as I only use my printer as and when I find it fulfils my needs perfectly.
I have used various inkjet printers in the past and after I experienced problems with them whereby I had to clean the print head after every printing session due to lines appearing on all my prints, I thought I would better off investing in a laser printer instead rather than having to buy ink cartridges again and again which was costing me a lot money because cleaning the print head also uses up a large amount of ink.
I can say that I made the correct choice to invest in this laser colour printer. I saw it on eBay for £69.99 and considering how much laser printers used to be in the past I found this to be very cheap especially when comparing the price to other existing colour laser printers. It was easy to set up and very easy to install the drivers. You simply turn on the printer and let it warm up which takes a couple of minutes and print. The quality is very high and there is no need to clean the print head because it uses toner instead of ink, therefore the toner lasts a lot longer than an inkjet. I have printed about 200 pages (not all in colour) and I still have about three quarters of toner left in the cartridges. The paper feed takes about 100 sheets and I feel that it could do with a bit more.
You can also select the quality you would like so if you want to save on toner you can do an economy print and there a lot of settings to play around with depending on what you want. I have been very happy with my investment and am glad to move away from using inkjet printers.
I have just got this printer for my office at work because i wanted a personal computer that is going to be cheap to run and can produce good quality prints. I need a printer that could print resonable fast, something that looked good and something that was not too noisy.
I had a look around at lots of different printers but this one I thought looked the most stylish, it is a good colour, not to big, not to heavym its a laser printer so It can produce faster quality prints.
One of the main features of this printer is its ease of use, The priner is really easy to setup (following the manual) and its even easier to use. Its has a front loading system for the cartridges which is really easy to change.
The printer itself is super fast,I print alot of large PDF documents and this can produce large quantities really quickly. I believe it has something like 17 black pages per minute and more for colour which is fantastic.
In my office this printer is really quite, I can print some thing out without disturbing other staff members while it prints out 100's of pages. You can buy a 4 colour refil pack too so you dont have to fork out money to replace each colour. which for me is a good saver as I print alot of documetns and on my old printer I had to replace a number of colours (black, cyran, red, blue, ect).
I think this is a great buy printer suitable for a office environment capable of printing large high quality prints.
First of all, I have to say that this printer outshines and outperforms all other printers in its class. Being a laser printer, it has very high printing speed - up to 17 pages per minute for black ink. I find that the most attractive feature is it being very quiet for a laser printer. I have used a couple of them in the past but this one has the quietest operation among all the others. It also fits comfortably on my desktop, its size being really acceptable compared to its performance.
Printing quality is just awesome. The resolution is very high. Quality for colour printing is amazing as well. Pictures printed are crisp, sharp and has less noise compared to other laser printers. This printer also comes with Ethernet so you can link it with a LAN and everyone can then access it. It also has WiFi capability which is very useful in my office.
