Total waste of money! (Samsung CLP-500)

I thought I'd review the Samsung CLP-500 whilst looking for its replacement. Heed my advice and don't touch it with a barge-pole! Having selected this model for its economy of printing and for having a duplex (double sided printing) feature, I have been sadly let down on both counts. After only a few months, the duplex feature stopped working, then the paper began to jam more and more frequently. So much so eventually, that for every sheet of paper printed, I was throwing four or five mangled pieces away. Finally I could only use it by feeding sheets of paper into the supplementary tray, one at a time by hand. Now exactly 2 years after purchasing it, it has stopped printing altogether, it just gets hot and smells of burning. Needless to say I won't be buying Samsung again this time as it has cost me dear. Anyone know any better alternatives?
