Solid and compact, the ML-1440 features a 14 page-per-minute output rate, powerful 66MHz processor and an impressive real resolution of 600 dots-per-inch. The ML-1440 includes built-in parallel port and USB interfaces, and supports a wide range of operating systems.

Samsung's unique toner-save technology is incorporated in the ML-1440. The one-touch toner-save button reduces toner consumption by up to 30%, saving consumers and businesses money through fewer replacement cartridges. Ideal for generating draft documents, the toner save actually extends the life of the printers' 6, 000-page toner cartridge to about 7, 800 pages when activated. ML-1440 offers professional quality printing in the home office with 8MB of standard memory. The ML-1440 utilizes SPL (Samsung Printer Language) emulation to print graphics at a faster rate than other similarly priced models as well as producing sharp text and images at 600 x 600dpi (dots-per-inch) resolution. Equipped with a 270-sheet universal cassette tray, the ML-1440 also features a multi-purpose tray, which is capable of handling a variety of paper stocks and sizes. An optional 550-sheet second cassette feeder is available for increased paper handling capacity.
