Samsung's unique toner-save technology is incorporated in the ML-1440. The one-touch toner-save button reduces toner consumption by up to 30%, saving consumers and businesses money through fewer replacement cartridges. Ideal for generating draft documents, the toner save actually extends the life of the printers' 6, 000-page toner cartridge to about 7, 800 pages when activated. ML-1440 offers professional quality printing in the home office with 8MB of standard memory. The ML-1440 utilizes SPL (Samsung Printer Language) emulation to print graphics at a faster rate than other similarly priced models as well as producing sharp text and images at 600 x 600dpi (dots-per-inch) resolution.
