I purchased this printer around 3 months ago for £45 which I thought was great value for money. Laser printers have come down in price over the last few years and mono (black and white) laser printers are now of similar price to basic ink-jets. I wanted to buy a laser printer as I was fed up with inkjets drinking ink and the faff of having to change ink on such a regular basis. The samsung was in my budget and had all the benefits of a laser printer in a small box. The printer was easy to setup and came with drivers for windows Vista and Xp. I bought this printer mainly to print out black and white photos. It is very disappointing. Photos come out with considerable banding, even when I select the graphics option to produce darker prints. There are also problems with printing envelopes. It is almost impossible to print an envelope without one of the edges coming out crinkled.
