A printer that is fine for text but iffy for anything else (Samsung ML 2010)

Advantages: Cheap, good for text

Disadvantages: Poor results with graphics; envelopes come out with crinkled edge

I bought this printer mainly to print out black and white photos. It is very disappointing. Photos come out with considerable banding, even when I select the graphics option to produce darker prints.

There are also problems with printing envelopes. It is almost impossible to print an envelope without one of the edges coming out crinkled. I discovered, too late, that this was a drawback others had found on this machine.

It's OK if what you want is straightforward text, but it is not a machine that I would recommend.

Summary: I will look elsewhere for a satisfactory laser printer for photo printouts
